The Division of Diocesan Ministry Development is an arm of the Diocese of the Mid-South committed to the empowerment, equipping, and strengthening of her members for the work of the ministry. Under the auspices and oversight of the Commission on Ordained Ministry, the Division of Diocesan Ministry Development will work to provide training, seminars, workshops, and retreats designed to “empower” the people of the Mid-South Diocese for effective Christian service. The Division will also work closely with the Commission on Ordained Ministry to provided continuing education opportunities for ordained clergy and commissioned ministers.
Dr. Judy Massey, DMD Coordinator
Dr Judy Massey is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She holds a B.S. in Education (Carson-Newman), M.A. (Georgia State University), and a D.Min. in Global Evangelization/Leadership (Regent University). Dr. Judy has a passion for ministry and missions especially teaching and strengthening God’s people to discover their gifts of ministry and to be released in their callings. She has served the Body of Christ as an Adult Sunday School Teacher, Youth Director, and Coordinator of Middle Adult Programs. Additionally, she has been actively involved in such ministries as Generals of Intercession, Aglow Interantional, and Truelight Ministries in the United Kingdom which has enabled her to travel and speak overseas. As part of these ministries she organized national conferences, mobilized national prayer events, and facilitated evangelistic outreaches. For the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, Quest appointed her as the Prayer Director for all the venue sites. She also served as the national chairman for the Aglow international Evangelistic thrust at the Olympics.
In September 1996 she and her husband came into the CEC and helped start Christ the King Church in Sharpsburg, GA. In 1998 she became the co-founder of the Society of Christ the Healer which is a mission organization of the CEC that has taken teams to Africa and the Philippines. In that same year she was made a Commissioned Minister of Evangelism and Missions and also became the Southeast Regional Islamic Coordinator for Aglow International. As part of her doctoral thesis, Dr. Judy has writeen a Missions Manuel for the ICCEC. She has also taught and written manuals on Spiritual Warfare, Islam, Prophecy and Prayer Walking.
In 2004 she and her husband, The Rev’d Canon Paul Massey, started Church of the Holy Cross in Fayetteville, GA where they offer community seminars on a variety of topics such as marriage, finances, evangelism, activation of gifts of Holy Spirit, inner healing and deliverance, and more. Most recently, in 2005, Dr Massey went to Mongolia with the International School Project. For fun she and her husband entertain their three grandchildren, play golf and remember the days when they were better golfers and could each boast of a hole in one.
